As a former head of the Salzburg Festival, Peter Ruzicka has weathered many a storm in coping with uncertainty. And now as an artist, he turns it into an artistic theme: the task of the composer and conductor will be to balance out uncertainty factors with a steady hand in a double birthday concert in the Mozart Hall. Part 1, with Ruzicka himself on the podium of the Camerata Salzburg and soprano Sarah Maria Sun as soloist, combines two striking »open works« from the late 1960s: Ruzicka’s own compositions for string orchestra, »Mnemosyne« and »Ins Offene«.
