The legendary big band that specialises in both composed and improved music was founded by bass player and composer Barry Guy 45 years ago (the photo shows the band’s line-up in the early 1990s). Now the international all-star collective will make one of its very rare appearances in Porgy & Bess – so steel yourself for an irresistable evening full of energy where the musical sparks are guaranteed to fly in the closing concert of Wien Modern 2018.
