Inspired by a breadth of elements reaching from club culture to Glitch over to Brahms, Gianluca Iadema has created an hour-long piece split into thirteen segments, following a carefully conceived dramaturgy. He modulates different variations of melodic forms, gestures and visual motifs, crosses and counterpoints them, interlaces interludes. The piece takes on theatrical dimensions and incorporates an array of musical and visual material, which reveals itself, sometimes in its entirety, sometimes in small parts, and reaches new meaning in a cyclical and transductive movement.
