Public Transport

Almost all means of public transport in Vienna are wheelchair accessible. Every station has step-free access (lift or ramp). In almost all stations, tactile strips lead blind and visually impaired people to stairs, escalators and lifts. We recommend the WienMobil app, as it provides real-time information. It not only shows which means of transport are accessible, but also whether a lift at a station is currently out of order. In addition, the app allows you to select for it to only display wheel-chair accessible train departures and routes under Settings > Mobility.
