short stories is tied to the aesthetics of surrealist film, especially the work of Luis Buñuel. The piece consists of a multitude of very different scenes − some purely instrumental, some with playback, on occasion purely electronic − which are arranged in a kind of dream logic and connected with the help of cutting and cross-fading techniques". Together with the composer, arranger, media artist and software developer Christof Ressi, who was born in Villach in 1989, Klangforum Wien also presents – finally live – Matthias Kranebitter, the winner of last year's Erste Bank Award, as well as Aleksandry Gryka, born in Warsaw in 1977.
