The foyer as a non-space, as a random place that is always passed through and rarely a destination, forms the setting for this playful composition. The multi-storey foyer of the Future Art Lab, interpretable as a cave, as a reverberating space that Lissie Rettenwander sounds out and moves around with her voice. The composer feels her way through the exposed concrete, the glass, the railings, the steps, with her body. She moves through, touches, pats down the space, the materiality. With her voice, she allows the foyer to be experienced as an oversized reverberating space, exactly where it rings the loudest, and she exposes the resources of this space with determined precision. (Lissie Rettenwander)

The subsequent concert evening with students of the ELAK focuses on two aspects of musical creation: on the one hand, the dynamic relationship between conceptions of composition and interpretation and, on the other hand, the fixation of music between notation and sound storage. The presented compositions use a wide range of specifications in "conventional" notation, graphic instructions, or they are fixed on analogue or digital media. Anestis Logothetis' graphic scores are not intended as open works, yet the transition from visual to acoustic medium holds interesting possibilities of transformation in form and gesture on different levels of time and sound.
