Katalin Ladik was awarded the Lennon-Ono Grant for Peace by Yoko Ono, together with Olafur Eliasson, Anish Kapoor and Ai Weiwei. A poetry performance by this Yugoslav-Hungarian avant-garde poet and performer is juxtaposed by Samu Gryllus with parallel musical actions by the instrumental ensemble from a separate room. Jalalu Kalvert-Nelson asks "how hearts are broken, torn apart, by conflict, death, separations and loss. And how a way must be found to live on with this 'rest' of the heart." To this exciting programme of world premieres, Ensemble Studio Dan adds a few handfuls of pebbles by Pauline Oliveros.
