blueht is the name of the new second album (released on Freifeld Tonträger) of the Vienna-based improvisation trio P:Y:G. Recorded at the New Adits Festival in Klagenfurt, the record pollinates, germinates, sprouts and wilts between new music, jazzcore and noise. The instruments are deprived of their conventional functions through mutual imitation. Brittle staccato sound fragments, polyrhythmic structures, drones and brute collapsing walls of noise thus all become part of a typical fast-paced P:Y:G soundscape in a wondrous, bizarre way.
