As a sort of prominent opener before London's Arditti Quartet (→ 23.11.2023 20:00), Brussels' Ictus Ensemble makes Joanna Bailie's space-sound memory of what it was like to live as a child in 1979 imaginable, with eight instruments scattered around the room and video. "The space where these forever-reflecting sounds come together is an imaginary one, the fusion of living rooms in 1979 with the TV on, pop music playing, and the noise of the streets outside seeping through the walls."
