Really, what I want at the moment is to only write works for peace. Then the question arises, what can music do? Can it contribute to peace at all? My answer would be yes. Not only practically: music can say the unspoken and sharpen perceptions, touch people, "open their souls", promote the strength and courage to stand up for peaceful coexistence. (Johanna Doderer)
